John J. Dorpinghaus Jr.

John was born 04/22/1944 Heron Lake, Minnesota, passed away 06/04/2023 at home Howard, Colorado.

 He born to John Dorpinghaus and Lorraine “Queen” Wreath.

John then went to join the Navy in 1963 spent 26 years traveling the world an ABCS  retiring in 1985 as an E-8.

He married Kathy Felts May 27, 1989 in Howard, Colorado.

John enjoyed spending time traveling on his Harley visiting family and friends.

He started a construction business metal buildings and metal roofs. 

His best friend Dee-Oh-Gee a blue heeler who traveled with him on his Harley.

John was preceded in death by his brothers Gerald and Ronald, his mother Queen Lorraine Freedlun his dad John Joseph Sr and step dad John Freedlun.

He is survived by wife Kathy of Howard Colorado, sister Teresa (June) Colorado Springs, brothers Roger (Penny) Wichita, Kansas, Todd (Terri) Colorado Springs, Colorado Son Gabe (Mandy) Pilot Point, Texas, daughters Jacqueline Concord North Carolina, Belinda Ayyoubi, Jeanette Boyette Wichita, Kansas. Numerous nieces, nephews grand and great grand kids.

Services at 2pm 13th June 2023 at Pike Peak National Cemetery located at 10545 Drennan Road Colorado Springs, CO 80925.
