Donna Mae Weskamp

Donna Mae Weskamp, 92, of Canon City Colorado, passed away on Tuesday, August 22nd, 2023 after a lengthy illness.

Born on August 13th, 1931, in Vergas, Minnesota to Ole and Myrtle (Rud) Quam.  Preceded in death by her parents, Brother Lyle (Glenda) Quam, Sister Doris (Stacy) Harmon, Nephew Terry Quam, and  Grandson Colin Foster.

She is survived by her Husband of 70 years Theodore Weskamp, married on May 9, 1953 in Fridley, MN. Also surviving are Daughters, Debra Weskamp, Susan (Mike) Zaremba, Wendy (Joel) Foster, Grandchildren, Kerry Velez, Paul (Katrina) Prutch, Zachary (Katrina) Zaremba, Callie (Aaron) Wolking, Lane (Lisa) Foster and Great Granchildren Ashlyn, Natalie, Madison, Aubree, Braxton, Bennett, Sydney and Sadie.

Donna was working in a bookstore in Fridley, MN when she met Ted.  Her various other jobs were Avon Representative, Receptionist in a Beauty Salon, Hearing Aid Center receptionist, Sherrill's Dress Shop and a Courier for LabCorp.

Her most prized job was raising her 3 girls while being an Air Force wife living in several postings over 22 years.  Donna made a home in Richfield, MN, Athens, Greece, Belleview NE, Goodyear, AZ, Langley VA and  Colorado Springs, CO.   In 1973 Donna and Ted moved to Canon City ,CO.

She was a member of Shepherd of the Hills Lutheran Church and sang joyously in the choir & served in  the Banner Guild. She was a member of Shadow Hills Country Club 1973-2015.

Her Family would like to thank all of the helpers who appeared  to ease her life as she declined, especially Chris Message, and Fremont Regional Hospice. 

Funeral Service will be on Friday August 25th, 2023 at 10 am at Shepherd of the Hills Lutheran Church, Canon City, CO. Internment will follow at Lakeside Cemetery. Reception to follow at Shepherd of the Hills.
