Carol was born on June 29th 1942, in Detroit, Michigan. She was the daughter of Mary Francis Thomas and Earl Van Dyke. She had three children, Linda Francis, Dale Edward, and Christopher Lawrence, and five grandchildren, DeAngelo Ray, Jesse Curtis, Nikki Ann, Kristina Marie Ann, and Alexander Rae and six Great Grandchildren, DeAngelo Ray, Jesiah Camille, Curtis Demetrius, Tashyia Nicole, Tiana Nevaeha, and Samuel Joseph.
Carol retired from the State of Georgia as a financial services accountant, serving veterans. She had a passion for crocheting and created several blankets that she shared with friends and family. She also taught several of her friends how to crochet.
Carol passed away on April 9th 2024, in Castle Rock, Colorado, leaving behind a loving family and a network of loving friends. She was a kind and generous person who touched the lives of people everywhere she lived. No words can take away the pain of her loss. She will be remembered for her love, warmth and compassion.
